WHITE SAGE LACE GUILD BOBBIN LACE

WHITE SAGE LACE GUILD is the only bobbin lace guild in Kern County, Southern California. We are an IOLI affiliate Guild.
We are located in BEAUTIFUL Pine Mountain Club, 18 miles off of Hwy 5, at the Frazier Park exit.

We study the history of lace, and work many new patterns from accomplished lace authors.
Lace making is a culturally important fiber art. Different styles of laces are made throughout the world.
We welcome you to come visit and see what  lace making is all about. We wish to share our skills with others, whether it be one-on-one, through  demonstrations,  or lace exhibits.

We meet every Monday from 9:30-3:00 in our clubhouse pool pavilion.
Our class consists of beginners to seasoned Lacemakers, with the guidance of our wonderful Instructor.
You are welcome to attend any Monday class, just to watch or start a new project, which will give you a new hobby, one that will give you many years of enjoyment.
We look forward to hearing from you.

SNAKES, SNAKES, SNAKES.....

These are some Lace snakes made by our Guild, this is actually the beginner's first project.
It's a great choice and both children and adults love their finished work.
Living in the Los Padres National Forest it gives "Snakes" a whole new meaning.

SNAKE IN THE MAKING...
Well no need to be scared, here is a little one in the making. You can see the pattern and all the many pins on the sides. You are about half way done at this point.

DON'T PANIC, Yes we see all those bobbins, but you will only work with two pair at a time, our snake is almost done.

OK ALL DONE.
Snake bookmarks are easy to learn and fast to make. A perfect Beginners project.
They will last, are attractive, fun, and make special gifts.
